A month dedicated to Jung's "Memories, Dreams, Reflections"
A gentle read-along, Jungian inspired inner work & a solstice gathering
Jung’s semi-autobiographical text, Memories, Dreams, Reflections was not the first of his books I read, but it was the most impactful. Surprisingly, I found many of my own experiences, longings, and challenges reflected in his stories — from early religious disillusionment that opened me to a more profound spiritual dimension to wanting to understand the psychological phenomena behind otherworldly dreams, visions, and encounters.
Jung’s writing is notoriously impenetrable and academically dense, but in Memories, Dreams, Reflections, we get a deeper sense of the man behind the theory, the psychic drives and images that fueled his tireless pursuits. It is the book I recommend all curious students begin with if they want to learn about Jungian psychology. I consider it the mythic origins of Jung, in his own words.
This month in The Artemisian’s membership, we are embarking on a gentle read-along of the book. It will guide our inner work for December, culminating in a special solstice gathering on Sunday the 21st. Join us as we uncover the foundations and heart of Jungian psychology through Memories, Dreams, Reflections.

How our inner work unfolds this month…
The Oracle
We begin with The Oracle, a tarot and dreamwork divination to open the archetypal field and prime inner work for the weeks ahead. The Oracle will offer guidance and prompts for engaging the unconscious, inspired by Jung’s path as told in Memories, Dreams, Reflections.
Gentle Read-Along
Although book club inspired, reading along with the material is recommended but not required. If you are reading, move at a pace that best suits your schedule and capacity! The class/Solstice Gathering will go over major themes of the book.

Attend a special live class marking the ending of the year. Together, we’ll explore the major themes of the book and how it relates to core principles of Jungian psychology. I’ll also be incorporating insights from the new publication, Jung’s Life and Work, which details the original interviews that informed Memories, Dreams Reflections. A replay will be available the following day.
