Tarot for Beginners [New Workshop & Monthly Theme]
Learn the basics of tarot from a Jungian perspective
As we kickoff the New Year here at The Artemisian, I’m excited to offer an introductory tarot workshop which will live in perpetuity in the new Beginner Workshop Series, a members-exclusive offering of foundational teachings on key inner work topics from mythology, alchemy, Jungian psychology and more!
Tarot is one of the first symbolic systems that truly captivated me. From my early days till now, I’ve developed a practice that leans heavily into the psychological and archetypal nature of the cards, and ways we can use them to support and sustain a deep inner work practice. I’ll be teaching this method and approach in class, as well as throughout our monthly membership experience :)

How our inner work unfolds this month…
The Oracle
We begin with The Oracle, a tarot and dreamwork divination to open the archetypal field and prime inner work for the weeks ahead. The Oracle will provide guidance for how to deepen and approach your tarot practice in January.
Practice Exercises & Mini Lessons
Throughout the month, members can sharpen their skills through simple tarot exercises, mini lessons and sample readings (to be posted on The Artemisian). This is a great opportunity to explore the cards, ask questions, and reflect on interpretations in a supportive, communal setting.
Tarot for Beginners workshop — Saturday, Jan 17th @ 11:00 AM PST
Our introductory class will walk through the foundations of developing a tarot practice, informed by key principles of Jungian psychology and archetypal inner work. All levels are welcome! Please have a deck to use in class.
In class we’ll explore:
A Jungian perspective of divination, synchronicity and archetypes
The structure of the tarot deck, including the Major and Minor Arcana
Approaching tarot imagery as a psychological and symbolic language
Simple, practical methods for beginning to read for yourself
Discussion Thread
Join the open discussion thread and Q&A to close out the month, a shared space for reflection and dialogue where you can explore how your inner work has unfolded, receive interpretation help with dreams or tarot readings, ask questions, and get support in community.
