Archetypal Encounters: Hekate [workshop]

Explore the archetypal themes of the liminal goddess

Archetypal Encounters is a workshop format I first experimented with nearly three years ago. In it, I focus on major archetypal forms and symbols of a mythic figure. Though still steeped in Jungian and inner work applications, this style of class tends to be a bit more imagistic and whimsical.

I’m excited to bring it back this month with Hekate, the liminal goddess and key-holder of dark mysteries who leads us through the crossroads. In this workshop, we explore her archetypal expressions as Great Mother, Sorceress, Psychopomp, and Crone, considering how we can build a relationship to her in these different expressions. Meet Hekate in her many forms, dive into her rich symbols, and uncover her potency as initiator, transformer, and underworld guide.

Archetypal Encounters: Hekate will support you to:

  • Understand Hekate as a figure of liminality, unconscious power, and transformation through a Jungian lens

  • Recognize the psychological significance of her four archetypal forms: Great Mother, Sorceress, Psychopomp, and Crone

  • Interpret the key, torch, crossroads, and dog as symbols of access, illumination, transition, and instinct within inner change

  • Apply Hekate’s archetypal themes to guide you through current transitions, changes, and thresholds of life
